The River: Encounter

Encounter is a four-part introductory series presented by The River, offering a biblical understanding of relational and sexual brokenness and how an encounter with Jesus Christ is our ultimate source of healing.

  • This series touches upon issues such as pornography, living in fantasy, relational idolatry, gender insecurity, masturbation, same-sex attraction, low self-esteem and depression.  
  • Includes real-life stories, biblical teachings, and times of listening prayer ministry.  

A Resource for Local Churches.  The Encounter series is designed to be an educational resources for church youth groups and college-age fellowships.  Included is an optional training component for the leaders of the youth group or young adult fellowship.

Campus Ministries, Retreat, Chapels.  The series is also adaptable for campus group meetings, weekend retreats, or high school chapel programs.

  2. Hiding in shame, longing for love: The human heart
  3. The true self: How the Father names us and gives us identity
  4. The journey of healing: Embracing the process
