How We Began

In 1980, Andrew Comiskey began a biblically-based healing and support group for people struggling with same-sex attraction. That one group in West Hollywood, Calif., became several, and soon the Living Waters program took off.

As the ministry expanded, it moved beyond its original focus on same-sex attraction to include other relational and sexual issues. This is reflected in all the materials that have been produced by Living Waters.

Under the leadership of Toni and Mardi Dolfo-Smith, Living Waters established a Canadian presence in 1991. Since then, Living Waters courses and programs have sprung up in churches from coast to coast.

Since its inception more than 25 years ago, Living Waters has developed a strong reputation of helping Christian men and women walk through a healing journey. This is possible because the ministry is based on a set of core principles and fundamental beliefs, which guide and direct all that happens at Living Waters Canada.
